Young Colombian musicians starts tour in Europe

The juvenile symphonic orchestra of the Batuta Foundation, that gathers the best young musical talent of Colombia, will celebrate its first 20 years with its first international tour through Germany and Italy.

The intense tour, which runs from August 15 to September 11 of this year, includes two performances in Berlin and Spandau (Germany), and eight cities in Italy: Ferriere, Fiorenzuola, Castelverde, Piacenza, Cremona, Trento, Verona and Florence. In addition, they will visit the Pope and give a further recital in Rome.

For many of these children it will be the the first time they board a plane. It took a great effort to arrange this tour, and the parents of the orchestra's 60 children have played an important role to make this dream come true.
