Philly Re:moves

Six months ago I did a mix called ‘Philly re:grooves’ which was well listened to on Mixcloud. So it’s time to do something similar. Again a handful of songs from the archives of the legendary Philly sound, created by Kenny Gamble (right) and Leon Huff. It was once referred to as 'soul music in a tuxedo'. A very fine combination of soul, jazz, gospel, funk and early disco. Enjoy! If you like this kind of music, check the 'Spirit of Philadelphia' series on Expansion. Part 3 will be out very soon!
